Made by a company called Takara Tomy, this little device serves as a universal dog translator. It claims to decipher emotions and fill you in on the overall happiness of the dog. The Bowlingual dog translator device uses voice-print analysis technology with specialized software that adapts the tech for dog barking. It only seems able to pick up on six distinct dog emotions : frustrated, sad, happy, on-guard, assertive, and needy. Apparently the device is remarkably accurate.
The Bowlingual dog translator consists of a hand-held receiver with a lcd information screen and a wireless microphone transmitter which attaches to a dog’s collar. Here’s some pics and a video :
